Here is a brief reading about how God has been moving among us in the past 13 years!
We can totally see His loving hand as we have prayed, rented, purchased, dreamed, called, prayed some more, financed, and finally built our own facility.

Christ Community Church began as a small Bible study in 1989. This group of families and individuals prayed for God to lead them. Those of us who were a part of this core group have the fondest memories of those earliest gatherings.

In January of 1990, public worship services were launched. Our first years as a church found us renting the basement of the public library to hold our services. This was a great "starter" home for CCC.

-1991  CCC was shepherded by Pastor Don Den Hartog.

-1997  CCC was shepherded by Pastor Vance Christie.

God was working - and He still is! - and in 1995 some property became available for us to purchase. It seemed like a huge undertaking for this new church to buy over 5 acres of land, but our congregation trusted our great God and His leading. After many prayers and discussion, we voted unanimously to purchase this acreage just east of the public grade school.

In 1996, we had the opportunity to rent the High School's auditorium called TePaske Theatre. We enjoyed the huge stage and terrific seating arrangement. The acoustics were great and there were many hallways to use as classrooms. The Commons was a delightful place to gather after services for coffee and refreshments. All in all, it was a wonderful place to rent.

-2001  CCC was shepherded by Pastor Steve Gibbons.

We hired a general contractor in April of 2000 who had a church building plan all ready to implement. We made some modifications to suit our own needs. Ground broke in June 2000 and we began constructing our first ministry facility in August 2000. To offset some of the expense, we were able to donate labor at the work site.

August 26, 2001 We held our first service in the new facility. We are nearly giddy! Lots of final touches are being put on inside the building. The outside still needs sidewalks and parking. As of this writing, we are still forming how these next projects will go in preparation for our first service.

April, Pastor Randy Widbin responsed to God's call to shepherd this local body.
